Yaariyan is an upcoming Bollywood college-based romance adventure film directed byDivya Khosla Kumar,starring Himansh Kohli, Serah Singh and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles.The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released on 31 January 2014. Now the release date has been pushed 3 weeks earlier, to 10 January 2014.The theatrical trailer of the film released around 30 October 2013. It has crossed over 1 million views in just a few weeks.

Shot in St. Joseph's School, Darjeeling, 'Yaariyan' is a story of close knit 5 friends who are exploring the best moments of their lives in college, experiencing different relationships and learning new values every day. Yaariyan is about different characters, their bonding, their friendship, their problems, their fun, their mistakes, their relations. It is about their yaariyan during good and bad, thick and thin. Yaariyan is about all your first - first love, first challenge, first outbursts, first strong bonds of friendships.The movie marks the debut of the director as well as the lead star cast.

Early 2012, Bhushan Kumar made the announcement of making the then untitled movie on college romance genre that will mark the debut of director Divya Khosla Kumar. Soon, an announcement was released that the star cast of the film will also include new comersHimansh Kohli (last seen in TV show Humse Hai Life) on Channel [V], Rakul Preet Singh (Miss India 2011 worked in Kannada, Telugu & Tamil movies), & Nicole Faria (Miss Earth 2010 popular in Modeling Industry). This movie will bring to the industry new director and new young star cast, including Bollywoods rising starlet half-German half-Indian Evelyn Sharma to play an angelic dream girl. The movie also has senior actors like Gulshan Grover and Deepti Naval play important characters in the movie.

During the pre production stage, news was released on the locales to be used in the movie. The director has chosen unexplored and virgin locations in Darjeeling.

The title of the movie was registered with Saif Ali Khan (for the movie Cocktail) who gladly gave away the rights to his friend Bhushan Kumar to use for this film.

Almost shot, Yaariyan will release on 10 January 2014 that marks the debut of Divya Khosla Kumar as a film director.

The muharat shot clapped by Bhushan Kumar himself, the shoot began in Mumbai on the auspicious day of Dashera followed by shoots in Australia and then Sikkim and Darjeeling.'Yaariyan' is the first ever movie to be shot in Sikkim.

The soundtrack for the film will be composed by Pritam. There is also a special number by Honey Singh titled ABCD. Also joining the group of music directors, Mithoon post his Tum Hi Ho success will render tracks for this film as well. Arko Pravo Mukherjee has also composed a track. First full track ABCD was released on 25 Nov 2013. Baarish was released on 29 Nov 2013. It crossed 1 million views on Youtube in 2 days. Audio album of the movie was released on 9 December 2013 on internet. Song Allah Waariyan was released on 11 December 2013. The song is sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, and written as well as composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee.
