Google Earth

Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean. You can explore rich geographical content, save your toured places, and share with others.
Google Earth's features include:
See global changes with decades of historic imagery
If you've ever wondered how your neighborhood has changed throughout time, Google Earth now gives you access to the past. With a simple click, check out suburban sprawl, melting ice caps, coastal erosion, and more.
Dive beneath the surface of the ocean
In the new ocean layer, you can plunge all the way to the floor of the sea, view exclusive content from partners like BBC and National Geographic, and explore 3D shipwrecks like the Titanic.
Track and share your paths with others
Take placemarks a step further and record a free-form tour in Google Earth. Simply turn on the touring feature, press record, and see the world. You can even add a soundtrack or narration to personalize the journey.

Google Earth Outreach is Google's program for donating and supporting non-profit organizations spreading the knowledge of global awareness since 2007.[1] Google Earth Outreach offers online training on using Google Earth and Google Maps for public education on issues affecting local regions or the entire globe.
In June 2008 a training was given to 20 indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest, such as the SuruĂ, to help them preserve their culture and protect their rainforest territory from deforestation.[2]
People who create content for the public benefit sector can submit their KML to the Showcase Gallery, where content on Global Development, Public Health, Environment and Science, Culture and Education, and Social Services is posted. The program has been launched in 9 countries: US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and Brazil. This program also has a folder in Google Earth featuring layers from the programs it supports. Eligible charitable organizations can apply for a grant of the Google Earth Pro software, Google SketchUp Pro software, and Google Maps API Premier grants.
Google Earth Outreach features videos in a YouTube Channel.[3]
